Seeking intersections between different disciplines.
I worked with Inne Eysermans and Saskia De Coster on a number of performances, including a performance during the Watou Arts Festival and the Word Front: 1,500 people marched through the streets of Ypres. With words by De Coster, accompanied by fanfare music written by Eysermans, they spoke out against the horrors of the first poison gas attack.
In February 2023, the performance "The Author is Present" launches in the country's most beautiful museum, the KMSKA in Antwerp. For an entire month, De Coster will lock himself in a small room behind a transparent wall in the Heldenzaal (Hall of Heroes) of the KMSKA. In this room, full of paintings of craftsmen and artisans, she will work, write, live and sleep day and night to finish her latest novel. Visitors to the museum will be able to watch De Coster at work as they would a painting: curious, from a distance. For one month, De Coster will abstain from all forms of communication, in search of unprecedented freedom within restriction.
